WIDECHAOS / LOCAL EVIDENCE SEARCH
Search text. Keep the source.
A small English–Chinese lexical search workbench, with exact quote offsets.
Corpus and queries stay in your browser. Results are source excerpts, not generated answers.
1. Build your local index
Up to 100 sources, 2 MiB input, 5,000 passages. The sample uses excerpts from the author’s accepted local projects; it does not assert they are already published.

Corpus schema and privacy
Use {"schema_version":1,"sources":[{"id":"doc-1","title":"Title","text":"Text"}]}. Source ids must be unique. Native JSON.parse does not detect duplicate object keys. No data is saved to browser storage, uploaded or sent to a model.
Nonblank source lines become passages, with 500-unit windows and 80-unit overlap for long lines. Offsets are UTF-16 units in your original source.
2. Search
Build an index first.
3. Inspect the evidence
Lexical matches are not proof that the source answers your query. Exact quote offsets do not establish factual truth or entailment.
The evidence bundle includes the current source texts and quotes. Review its contents before sharing.
